Guy Joseph Nasuti joined Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC) as a historian in 2014. The author of over thirty ship histories for the Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships (DANFS), Mr. Nasuti has also penned a series of acclaimed articles on kamikaze attacks of U.S. Navy ships off Okinawa for the NHHC’s 75th anniversary commemoration of that battle. As a member of the Public Histories and Education section, he continues to research and write on the U.S. Navy in World War II, including the development and creation of the Underwater Demolition Teams (UDTs). A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Nasuti served onboard the USS Nassau (LHA-4) during Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom.
