Where do Filmmakers Work?

Many underwater filmmakers work for their own production companies as independent contractors. This can lead to opportunities to film in any location worldwide, from a ship in a remote area of the ocean to a local swimming pool. Some filmmakers may work for a zoo or an aquarium or even be SCUBA instructors. Resorts and cruise ships also present opportunities to underwater filmmakers to create videos of guest experiences. Underwater filmmaking provides the unique opportunity for people to forge their own career paths.
